The tuberous or tubular breast has a tube shape instead of rounded and with a great separation between both breasts. The areola are usually large and dilated and there is a lack of mammary growth at the bottom. This malformation occurs during the woman’s physical development. Breast growth occurs from the areola onwards but not from the middle an lower sections of the breast. When this type of growth takes place a band of constriction or flange is developed, preventing the normal growth. In addition, in a high percentage of women with this problem there is also an asymmetry of size between the breasts.

There are many women who are not even aware of this problem so a good diagnosis and dialogue with the surgeon is essential, to explain the most appropriate technique in your case and thus not only increase the size of the breasts but also correct its shape.
